Brands that work with micro-influencers: paid and affiliate options

Explore brands and platforms that work with micro-influencers. Compare application routes, eligibility and cash, affiliate or product compensation.

By Daniel Bitton

For paid clipping and UGC, start with Content Rewards campaigns. For affiliate work, brands such as Mejuri, Morphe and HelloFresh publish application routes. This guide covers 24 brand and platform options, including commission, product-only and seasonal programs, so you can focus on the arrangements that fit your content and income goal.

Before you apply

  • Cash fees pay for agreed work. Affiliate commissions depend on qualifying sales. Gifted products are not cash income.
  • Check the application window, country and eligibility before preparing a pitch.
  • Agree on deliverables, revisions, usage rights and what triggers payment before creating content.

Understand what you are being paid for

A sponsorship may pay for a video or post; an affiliate program pays for attributed purchases. Marketplace campaigns may pay per post, through a retainer or for qualifying views. Compare the actual offer with your time and costs rather than choosing by brand name alone.

Brand and platform opportunities

Use the official link in each entry to choose a route that fits your country, content and preferred payment model. Seasonal and scouted programs need a different approach from a campaign you can apply to now.

Content Rewards — paid clipping and UGC campaigns

Start with Content Rewards for clipping and original UGC campaigns run by brands and agencies. Choose CPM for view-based earnings, per-post for an approved video that reaches its minimum views, or a retainer for agreed work each cycle. Prepare an application that fits the program

Choose a program that matches your location, content and audience. Then make it easy for the reviewer to see what you can deliver.

1. Show work relevant to the brief

Include two or three recent examples in the requested format. Explain the product, audience and your contribution to each.

2. Show your recent results clearly

Name the platform and date range, then show recent views or reach alongside relevant audience information. If you include an engagement percentage, explain which interactions you counted and what you divided them by.

3. Match the requested format

Say whether you will film a tutorial, edit existing footage, publish on your account or deliver the file. Specify the proposed revision rounds and usage rights.

For clipping, check permission to use the source footage and the allowed publishing platforms.

Confirm payment and obligations before creating content

Ask for written terms: what you must deliver, what the brand can reuse, who approves it, and when you will be paid.

Decide whether product compensation fits your goal

A product-only arrangement may be worthwhile if you want the product. It does not meet a cash-income goal.

Before accepting a gift, ask whether posting is required, whether you can decline, and which usage rights are included.

Make a specific proposal

For example: “I’d create a 30-second tutorial showing three ways to style the necklace, delivered as a vertical video for your Instagram account. The proposal includes one revision and 90 days of organic use on your brand account; posting to my account and paid-ad usage can be quoted separately.” Use terms that fit the actual brand and the rights you want to sell.

Read marketplace campaign terms

For a marketplace listing, read the eligibility, approval rules, payment trigger, caps and timing before producing a submission.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which beauty brands actually work with micro-influencers at a small follower count?

Morphe’s US Artistry Collective lists a threshold of 1,000 followers on Instagram or TikTok, alongside age and residency requirements. Mejuri also publishes affiliate and ambassador application routes. Compare the terms in the entries above; some rewards are commission or products rather than a cash fee.

How can I apply to work with Mejuri?

Open Mejuri’s official contact page and choose the Affiliate Program or Fine Crew Ambassador application. Review the relevant terms and confirm compensation before creating work. Read the official program details.

Does a payment per post work differently from a payment per view?

Yes. A per-post fee sets an amount for a qualifying video; CPM ties the amount to qualifying views. On Content Rewards, per-post payment requires approval and the campaign’s minimum views. Read the brief for the rate, limits and payment timing before choosing.
